What CommaView is, and isn’t

CommaView is unofficial software for comma devices. It is not made, endorsed or supported by comma.ai. It shows your comma’s camera and driving information on your phone and records drives. It is not a safety system: never rely on it to drive.

You are responsible for driving safely at all times. Use CommaView only in ways that don’t distract you from driving, and follow the law where you drive, including laws about phones and screens.

The beta

CommaView is in beta and invite-only. Your invite and your access are for you: don’t share the app, your account or your invite. Beta software can have bugs, change or stop working, and we may change or end the beta, or your access, at any time.

Your account

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 13, and you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission if you are under 18.

The app and the runtime

CommaView is proprietary. During the beta we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app, and to install the runtime on comma devices you own or may change. Don’t copy, share, sell, decompile or modify them, or try to get around the beta’s access checks.

Your comma device

Installing the runtime changes software on your comma. It may affect your warranty or comma’s support, and an update from comma can undo it or conflict with it. You install it at your own risk; keep a copy of anything on the device you care about.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve CommaView without owing you anything.

Using CommaView fairly

Don’t try to break or overload CommaView, get at other people’s information, or use it for anything unlawful.

Ending

You can stop using CommaView and delete your account at any time on my.commaview.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers and limits

CommaView is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for accidents, injuries, fines, damage to your vehicle or devices, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update the date at the top, and we tell you about important changes by email. Using CommaView after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province where CommaView is based, except where the consumer law of the place you live applies.
